So for my 19th birthday, my mom rented a beach house. We had a pretty great time. I took many, many pictures. Wrote in cursive in the sand. Found incredible things and creatures. Smiled. Laughed. Had a good time with my family. I was numb up to my waist from standing in the waves. I saw three sea lions staring at me when I was in the water. I got a shark tooth. A stinky starfish. And a ukulele for my birthday.
The salty wind blew through my hair. The seagulls called out. I had sand between my toes.
It was lovely. I think the coast was celebrating....
*note: my entire family is not in these pictures because some of them were not feeling very well and I couldn't seem to get everyone to gather together at the same time and place.....everyone was having too much fun...

Wow, that is such an awesome way to spend your birthday! Mine is in January so I would be miserably cold at the beach, haha.
